Galavino delivered a fabulous maiden victory at his very first start today at Aquis Park (Gold Coast), winning the TAB WE’RE ON Maiden Plate over 1000m.
It was an impressive win for the Adam Campton-trained gelding, who looked well above maiden grade from the moment the gates opened. Despite drawing very wide, Galivano jumped well for jockey Bella Yongberry, settling second early.
Around the 600 Bella Youngberry took him to the front, in the long straight he lengthened stride putting almost 4 lengths on the chasing field.
His turn of foot was the standout feature: sharp, sustained, and delivered with authority.
Galavino wins at the Aquis Gold Coast by 3.5 lengths on debut.
Galivano is the son of Cosmic Force from mare Misshiraz, he was purchased by Adam Campton as lot 1273 at the 2024 Magic Millions Yearling sale for $180,000.
