Success in racing is never the work of one person alone. Behind every runner that represents Campton Racing, there is an incredible team dedicated to ensuring each horse is given every opportunity to perform at its best—whether racing in Brisbane, on the Gold Coast, or further afield.
Recently, we were honoured to have our team recognised by Racing Queensland, with special attention given to Tayla Whalley, whose contribution to Campton Racing is impossible to overstate.
While many racing fans see Adam Campton as the face of the stable, Tayla plays a vital role behind the scenes in virtually every aspect of the operation. From supporting the day-to-day training program and managing the business side of the stable to serving as an outstanding ambassador for Campton Racing, her influence can be felt throughout the entire organisation.
Tayla’s horsemanship, keen eye for young talent, and dedication to the industry make her an invaluable part of the team. Just as importantly, her passion and commitment help drive the culture that underpins everything we do at Campton Racing. In a recent Racing Queensland feature, journalist Jordan Gerrans highlighted the significant role Tayla plays in the stable’s growth and success. He described her as the quieter force behind Adam Campton’s rapidly emerging racing operation. As Campton Racing continues to establish itself among Queensland’s leading stables, Tayla remains a key figure in helping the team achieve its ambitions.
Adam summed up her importance best when speaking to Racing Queensland:
“It’s huge, she’s everything to me. She’s everything to this team, as well. She keeps them going.”
We are incredibly proud to see Tayla’s dedication recognised and thank Racing Queensland for showcasing the people who help make our stable what it is today.
The success of Campton Racing is built on teamwork, passion, and hard work—and Tayla Whalley embodies all three.
